Pursuant to Bylaw No. 2025-05, the following weight restrictions are in place for the Town of Lumsden:
1. No person shall operate a vehicle or combination of vehicles with a gross vehicle weight exceeding 10,000 kg on any street in Lumsden, with the following exceptions:
- Allowed to travel on James Street North - Maximum 5 axle vehicle combination and maximum gross weight of 34,500 kgs.
- Heavy vehicle route (Qu'Appelle Drive from west Town limit to the east Town limit) - Maximum axle and gross vehicle weights and secondary weights, as set out in the Saskatchewan Vehicle and Dimension Regulations, 1999.
- Overweight Permit has been obtained from the Municipality.

Applicants must submit applications at least 2 business days prior to their preferred date of transportation. Last minute applications may not receive approval on time. The Permit will be reviewed and a response will be provided within 2 business days.
If a permit is approved, the permit and an invoice for the cost of the permit will be sent by email to the applicant. It is expected that payment for the permit is received within 30 days.
