Congratulations to Our Scarecrow Winners

Congratulations to our Scarecrow Display Winners!
The Lumsden & District Lions Club has awarded prizes by draw to all registered participants.
Winners:
• Tyson Seaborg – supporting KidSport Lumsden & Area
• Larry Laxdal – supporting the Lumsden Lions
• Lauren Herman – supporting the Halo Group
Each winner received $100, and an additional $100 donation was made to their selected community organization.
Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this year's Scarecrow Festival such a success!

Trail Notice

Due to heavy rainfall in September, a portion of the Trans Canada Trail along Seven Bridges Road has caved in. The affected area is temporarily marked with pylons while we work to reroute this section of the trail.

Please use caution and follow all posted markers when travelling through the area.

LHS Lockdown Drill- Road Closures

On Tuesday, September 22, 2026, between 11:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m., the Lumsden High School will be conducting a full lockdown drill.As part of the exercise, emergency services (police, fire, medical) will be staged in the area. Broad Street from 2nd Avenue to 5th Avenue will be temporarily closed to motorists.

This planned drill is intended to strengthen coordination and communication between the school and local emergency service partners and to ensure emergency response procedures are well-practised and effective in the event of a real emergency.
